A leading healthcare service has an opportunity for a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to oversee neuropsychology services within community neurorehabilitation teams. You will manage a small team, provide consultation, and ensure effective delivery of psychological care. The role requires advanced skills in neuropsychological assessment and experience in multidisciplinary teamwork. Contributions to service development and mentoring are essential. The position is part-time with a salary range of £76,965 to £88,682 per annum.
Investment in community neurorehabilitation services has enabled a reconfiguration of Clinical Psychology provision now spanning the Mid Notts & Bassetlaw area. This has led to an exciting opportunity for a new Consultant Clinical Psychologist post to lead the psychology input across two community neurorehabilitation teams. The role involves oversight of the neuropsychology service in both the Bassetlaw Long Term Neurological Conditions Team, which includes a stroke service and the Mid Notts Community Neurology Team. You will lead a small team including two Clinical Psychology preceptorship posts and facilitate their professional development in Neuropsychology. You will hold a small, specialist caseload of complex cases. Working as part of the multidisciplinary teams, you will provide consultation, training and professional guidance in relation to psychological/neuropsychological care. You will provide line management and supervision of colleagues in Clinical Psychology across the neurorehabilitation care pathway. You will work with the senior leadership team in enhancing psychological understanding to support the wider system including supporting a stepped care model. The post may be offered as an 8b-8c development role depending on experience.
You will lead the provision of Clinical Psychology Services within Community Neurorehabilitation Services and provide leadership, supervision, consultation and professional guidance. You will advise commissioning bodies as required. You will have a vital leadership role in mentoring and managing preceptorship posts, including prioritising workload and management of referrals. Clinically, your role will include managing complex referrals within a stepped care model. You will design and implement care pathways and protocols to assess and manage mood and cognition difficulties in accordance with national guidance. You will be encouraged to engage with appropriate CPD and networking. You will have a key role in auditing the effectiveness of the neurorehabilitation services. You will spend time at the bases for each service (Warsop Primary Care Centre, Retford Primary Care Centre), in addition to patient visits and remote working.
