Business Development Manager - Rail (Light Rail)

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced sales professional to join our rapidly growing Rail team focused on UK Light Rail. This role is home-based with required travel to Light Rail clients and prospects across the UK.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sales strategies for the UK Light Rail market.
• Drive sales growth and profitability in the Rail sector.
• Engage with stakeholders in local authorities, transport operators, and government agencies.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction and advocacy.
• Collaborate on proposals with bid teams.
• Manage existing Light Rail accounts and generate new leads using data and Salesforce.

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have previous experience as a Business Development or Sales Manager within the UK Light Rail sector, with key skills including:

• Account management and sales in the Light Rail market.
• Proven ability to generate new business.
• Understanding of procurement processes and market dynamics.
• Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders.
• Data analysis and solution development skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels.
