The role involves collaboration with clients and technical support throughout construction phases. Candidates should have an NC/HNC or equivalent qualification, alongside experience in Marine and HVAC disciplines. Qualifications
- Candidates must have an NC/HNC or equivalent in a related field.
- Experience in detail design and naval or commercial marine projects is preferred.
Responsabilités
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings.
- Ensure all design deliverables are completed on time and accurately.
- Provide technical support during construction and installation phases.
Connaissances
Proficiency in parametric CAD systems
Ability to work to Engineering Design Standards

Responsibilities
- Creation of CAD Models and Drawings : Producing detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings to meet required standards.
- Design Deliverables : Ensuring all design deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders during appropriate design phases to ensure coordination and functionality of design.
- Project Support : Contributing to and supporting the entire project and product design cycle, from concept to construction and installation.
- Technical Support : Providing technical support during the construction and installation phases.
- Perform self-verification of work.
- Reporting of technical progress and issues to line management.
- Be aware of and ensure that safety, health and environmental requirements are implemented
- Assist with the maintenance and improvement in quality standards of outputs.
- Change embodiment.
Qualifications
- The candidate is required to hold an NC / HNC or an equivalent qualification / experience in relatable discipline subject
- Apprenticeship in relevant discipline or relevant industry experience
Essential skills
- Be proficient in the use of one or more parametric / spec driven CAD system both in a 3D & 2D environment
- Able to work to Engineering Design Standards
Desired skills
- Preferable T26 Experience
- FORAN.
- Windchill
- Familiarity with shipbuilding / ship repair terminology and practices
Experience
- Experience in Design processes and procedures specifically within detail design
- Working on Naval or Commercial Marine projects (preferably naval shipbuilding projects / alternatively new build or major conversion packages)
- Experience in Mechanical, Piping or HVAC
- Relevant experience from other industries including, but not limited to, Oil & Gas, Process, Manufacturing, Defence, Aerospace, Rail, Civil and Automotive
