About the FCA

The Enforcement & Market Oversight (EMO) division upholds market integrity by monitoring markets, supporting the UK Listing Authority and investigating misconduct using a full range of legal and regulatory powers. Within EMO, the Specialist Intelligence Department (SID) provides expert intelligence support across the organisation, from Authorisations to Supervision and Enforcement. SID also works closely with law enforcement and international partners shaping joint campaigns and contributing to wider economic crime policy.
The department uses intelligence to deliver regulatory outcomes and public confidence. Its Data Exploitation Team applies advanced analytics and data-led strategies to detect and reduce financial crime. This 12-month role contributes to developing intelligence on misconduct and economic crime and helps drive intelligence-led regulation.
