Role Summary:

Our Hi-Tech & Energy vertical provides cutting-edge solutions that empower businesses to navigate complex landscapes, stay ahead of technology trends, and drive transformative growth. We enable our customers to bring innovations to market faster-whether they're focused on clean energy, emerging technologies, or critical scientific breakthroughs.

We're seeking a dynamic SDR Manager to lead our team of six Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) across North America and EMEA. You'll be reporting to the Sales Director of our Hi-Tech & Energy team, taking ownership of a high-volume, cold-calling environment that targets mid-market and enterprise-level prospects. While most of the team is based in our main office, one or two SDRs will work remotely from our Toronto location. If you're passionate about coaching a sharp, coachable, but relatively inexperienced team-and you have a track record of success rising through the ranks from SDR or AE to Manager-we want to hear from you!

This is a hybrid position in our London, UK office. This role has the option to work hybrid throughout the week or fully in office.

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Mentor, train, and motivate SDRs on cold-calling tactics and best practices
  2. Cultivate a results-driven, socially conscious culture, ensuring consistent performance against targets
  3. Identify and implement new AI-driven sales tools and cutting-edge prospecting functionalities to enhance lead generation and efficiency
  4. Continuously refine scripts, cadences, and outreach strategies in alignment with market trends and PatSnap's goal of accelerating impactful innovation
  5. Work closely with Marketing on campaign planning, lead flow, and feedback loops to refine buyer personas and value propositions
  6. Partner with regional Sales teams to align pipeline goals, qualification criteria, and handoff processes, ensuring the right focus on the innovators who align with our mission
  7. Oversee daily use of Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and other tools, ensuring accurate reporting and best-in-class processes
  8. Provide insights into new tools or features that could streamline outreach and data management
  9. Monitor SDR KPIs, including call volume, conversion rates, and pipeline generation
  10. Present regular performance updates to the Sales Director and senior leadership

About You:

  1. SDR/AE-turned-Manager: 1-2 years of SDR Manager experience (or a newly promoted individual) who can relate to the early-career challenges of the team
  2. Cold Calling Expert: Strong background in outbound prospecting, with a track record of exceeding pipeline and revenue targets
  3. Tech Savvy: Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and familiarity with AI-enabled sales tools
  4. Mission-Driven: Passion for supporting innovators who are shaping a better future for society and the environment
  5. Collaborative Mindset: Thrives in a highly collaborative, entrepreneurial environment, working closely with cross-functional teams
  6. Excellent Communication: Strong coaching style and the ability to inspire a young, coachable team
  7. Flexibility: Willingness to work in a hybrid environment (3 days in-office, 2 remote) with occasional travel
