To lead the Annodata (part of Kyocera group UK) direct commercial sales team based in the north of England to achieve and overachieve revenues and gross profit targets, through managing, mentoring & coaching. Ensure all existing and new sales opportunities maximise the entire portfolio of hardware products, software and services.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective leadership, directing staff and make decisions as appropriate to achieve all individual and team objectives and overall Company Strategy.
- Drive specific new business activity across the sales team including the running of regular "Deep Dives" on key accounts to maximise cross‑sell opportunities.
- Analyse the existing customer base to ensure all opportunities are maximised.
- Ensure the team are maintaining and updating the CRM database (Salesforce) daily to maintain accuracy with their client details, activities (emails, calls and meetings) and all sales opportunities.
- Be a role model for Kyocera Values and philosophy, ensuring all people processes are performed professionally, fairly, meaningfully and in a timely manner.
- Lead weekly meetings with your team to review activity levels, opportunities, pipeline and forecast via CRM.
- Ensure monthly meetings take place with your team members to review their pipeline, activities and general communication.
- Coach, train and develop team members to maximise their sales performance.
- Identify and develop high potential individuals within the team.
- Maintain confidentiality of all matters to the Company standards.
- Respond promptly and satisfactorily to all customer queries and complaints.
- Communicate effectively with staff, peers and senior management.
- Monitor key performance indicators and competency levels, ensuring agreed actions are followed through.
- Plan, allocate resources (time, expenditure, hardware, personnel) to meet all agreed business objectives.
- Use judgement to assess risk/gain balance and make decisions based on available information.
- Negotiate effectively on behalf of Annodata, defining areas of agreement/disagreement and developing alternatives to reach acceptable solutions with customers.
- Monitor KPIs within the regional teams to drive sales executives towards achieving set activity levels and recommend performance improvements as needed.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximise productivity within sales.
- Review the annual budget/P&L and maximise profitability within the Private sector sales channel.
- Sponsor key client engagement and build relationships with stakeholders to support the sales team.
Qualifications
- Previous experience of leading and motivating a successful sales team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
- Demonstrable previous experience within a direct commercial sales role (industry knowledge advantageous).
- Experience and clear understanding of MPS and Leasing are essential.
- Proven sales management experience, strong people management and commercial awareness.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; comfortable working with senior managers.
- Robust selling skills.
- Self‑motivated and a team player.
- Deadline driven and results‑oriented.
- Experience using relationship management tools (CRM) and competency in MS Office programmes (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams).
