Role
The SME team seeks a Director, SME Sales Specialist to drive revenue and expand Mastercard's presence in this segment, focusing on sales execution and product management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Sales (Primary Focus)

  • Develop and execute a revenue-driven sales strategy to grow Mastercard's SME segment across Europe.
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline using data insights to prioritize opportunities.
  • Identify and engage potential customers through market research, networking, and outreach.
  • Work with CPG companies, distributors, and wholesalers to digitize B2B payments for small businesses.
  • Understand SME challenges and tailor Mastercard's solutions accordingly.
  • Manage the sales process from lead qualification to closing deals.
  • Represent Mastercard at industry events to boost brand visibility.
  • Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies to meet targets.

Product Management (Supporting Focus)

  • Collaborate with teams to enhance SME solutions and go-to-market strategies.
  • Drive partnerships and innovation in B2B and supply chain finance.
  • Develop sales enablement tools and training for SME sales teams.

  • Proven experience in engaging stakeholders and driving solutions.

  • Experience in financial services or payments, with CPG knowledge.
  • Experience working with fintechs and alternative payment providers.
  • Intermediate skills in analytics tools like Excel or Power BI.
  • Excellent relationship, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, quick learner, able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
