A leading health and social care Trust is seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join their team in Hull and East Yorkshire. The role involves working with children with communication needs in various settings, including home visits. Responsibilities include managing a caseload, providing assessments, and conducting clinical supervision. An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit 1.0 whole time equivalent Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to our well established Speech and Language Therapy team which provides a service across Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire. This post is for anyone interested in working with children with a range of communication needs within mainstream nurseries and special schools. The post will also include home visiting and the successful applicant will be based at The Walker Street Centre, Walker Street, Hull.

To prioritise, plan and manage a specialist caseload, delegating tasks to others as appropriateTo demonstrate specialist clinical skills and provide support and advice re the delivery of care in partnership with children, relatives, staff, managers, and externally with other agencies.To provide high quality assessments and treatment plans which are evidenced basedTo maintain, as part of continual professional development, up to date clinical specialist knowledge/skillsTo provide day to day clinical supervision for SLT assistants, students and other co-workers as requiredTo provide training within own area of specialism to other professionals and carers
