Our client, a respected offshore law firm, is looking for an experienced and ambitious lawyer to lead the development of their new corporate tax practice in Bermuda. This is a rare opportunity for a specialist in corporate tax to make what could be both a career-defining and life-changing move.

You will be joining a small but highly impressive team that works alongside some of the world's pre-eminent onshore firms, providing Bermudian law advice on high-value cross-border transactions. With the introduction of Corporate Income Tax in Bermuda, this is a unique opportunity to establish yourself at the forefront of a new practice, capitalising on strong existing client relationships to build your own network of contacts. It will suit someone who combines technical excellence with outstanding client management skills and good commercial instincts.

Requirements

• Overseas qualified lawyers must be admitted in the UK or an equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada or South Africa).
• Likely to suit someone with at least 5 years’ PQE; more senior applicants encouraged to apply.
• Strong corporate tax experience gained with a leading onshore law firm, and the ambition and flair to thrive in a semi-greenfield role.
