A healthcare organization in Bradford is seeking an experienced registered nurse to lead the Upper GI and HPB clinical nurse specialist service. The role involves managing a team and providing advanced nursing care to cancer patients, requiring significant oncology experience and leadership skills. The successful candidate will enhance patient care and work closely with a multidisciplinary team.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated registered nurse with significant post registration experience in Upper GI/HPB cancer or cancer services to lead the Upper GI and HPB clinical nurse specialist service at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The trust is one of two specialist tertiary centres for oesophago-gastric cancer surgery in West Yorkshire. The post holder will participate in and oversee the provision of nursing services within UGI and HPB cancer services and will have responsibility for the management of the Upper GI/HPB Cancer Nurse Specialist team, working with professionals from Upper GI surgery, Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Oncology.
As a core member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide advanced nursing expertise/interventions to patients with Upper GI and HPB cancers, managing a defined caseload and aiming to enhance quality of life for patients and carers with suspected or diagnosed Upper GI and HPB cancers, including complex physical and emotional needs.
