You will be welcomed into a friendly, dynamic, and forward-thinking care group whose core values focus on patient care and staff wellbeing. We support innovation and teamwork, fostering a positive environment where ideas are listened to and developed.
The successful candidate will join an existing team of dynamic acute medical consultants with a variety of specialist interests. Our focus on passion has improved performance, patient feedback, and staff development. We invest equally in our staff and services.

We seek dynamic, forward-thinking individuals committed to patient care, innovation, and development. Nothing is impossible here.
Our organization is continually improving, driven by a commitment to delivering high-quality care. We are proud to have opened two new theatres at our Elective Surgical Hub in King George Hospital (KGH), and our Chief Executive was named top CEO by the Health Service Journal in 2024.
We operate from two main sites – KGH in Goodmayes and Queen’s Hospital in Romford. Our two busy emergency departments served over 330,000 visitors last year. We are campaigning for £35m to transform the A&E at Queen's and eliminate corridor care.
Patients benefit from our Women’s Health Hub in Ilford, an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch, and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub in Hornchurch. These CDCs operate 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing an additional 94,000 scans annually.
Our diverse staff of over 8,000 come from 146 countries, representing various ethnic backgrounds. Many staff work flexibly, and over 400 are enrolled in Ofsted-accredited apprenticeship programs. We are proud to be a London Living Wage employer.
We plan to introduce an electronic patient record system to benefit staff and patients alike.
This is a full-time, 10 PA post in acute medicine, with 7.5 DCC in clinical activity, including hot week duties and 1 in 8 weekend commitments. The role includes 1.5 SPA and up to 1 SPA for specialist interests.
