Aristocrat has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Corporate Communications Director, EMEA to join its new EMEA Communications team within the Global Communications & Brand team within Corporate Affairs. Reporting to the VP, Communications EMEA the successful candidate will serve as a senior leader in the EMEA region and play an instrumental role in supporting and driving Aristocrat’s enterprise communications strategy within the EMEA region. This role will business partner the Product Madness leadership team and business to develop and deliver an integrated internal and external communications strategy that support business strategy. This person will also be responsible for bringing innovation and thought-leadership to the EMEA Communications team and ensuring Product Madness communications are effective, and best-practice in all respects.

The Corporate Communications Director, EMEA will develop a comprehensive global internal communications strategy and PR strategy to support the Product Madness business strategy and enhance its corporate reputation and brand awareness. This person will drive the execution of the Product Madness internal communications strategy and PR strategy in EMEA and support its rollout with your communications colleagues in the Americas and APAC regions. You will have strong issues management including crisis communications experience. You will help take our storytelling to the next level by creating compelling internal communications programs and PR campaigns working in close partnership with the Product Madness Leadership team, P&C team, marketing, cultivating strong relationships with media, engaging target audiences, and boosting our earned media coverage and brand awareness. The role will also ensure effective Product Madness communications channel management, including the Product Madness LinkedIn page. Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute an integrated internal and external communications strategy for the Product Madness business that enhances Product Madness’s brand awareness and reputation.
  • Provide strategic comms advice and support to leaders, including Business Partner the Product Madness Leadership team. and be a key contributor to the Product Madness Leadership team.
  • Assist in creation of crisis communications plan for EMEA, including scenario mapping, messaging and preparation of executives
  • Drive proactive media opportunities, including developing innovative and creative PR campaigns for new games releases and managing reactive media enquiries
  • Advise the C-Suite and key leaders, maintaining the strictest confidentiality while providing insights, perspective, and counsel on internal communications and Public Relations strategies and led the crisis communications and issues management efforts for Product Madness.
  • As part of the Communications EMEA team you will work together to build the Aristocrat Interactive CEO and Aristocrat Interactive and Product Madness leadership team platforms and profiles; help write contributed content, messages, and speeches and in the voice of executives; prepare and staff e-team for various external and internal engagements
  • Set effective objectives, goals and KPIs responsible for MoM, QoQ and YoY success metrics
  • Measure the effectiveness of Product Madness communications through data and analytics, bringing forward opportunities for improvement, including use of new technologies and tools where relevant.
  • Support as relevant in the preparation of market materials, Group publications and disclosures and the leveraging of same within the Product Madness business and support the VP Comms EMEA drive this across the region.
  • Remain abreast of industry developments news, and communicate marketing intelligence and insights
  • Create content and help maintain and govern social channels across Product Madness including LinkedIn, leveraging content to tell our story
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in Corporate Affairs and/or Communications leadership roles, ideally in complex businesses and with international experience.

Skills & Knowledge

  • A solid track record of successfully developing and executing internal and external communication strategies that inform and engage employees and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to anticipate business requirements, leading and developing proactive and reactive communication solutions to support the business strategy and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify and interpret business requirements and develop strategic, targeted communications activties to support business priorities via a wide range of communicaton channels.
  • Solid understanding of financial earnings requirements with being a public company
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with confidence to serve as the company’s spokesperson
  • Strong experience coordinating successful employee engagement and global PR campaigns
  • Reputation management including crisis communications experience managing messaging and brand reputation
  • Must possess the ability to influence at all levels internally and externally using sound judgment, wisdom, and sensitivity
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with confidence to serve as the company’s spokesperson
  • Strong business partnering skills with the ability to build relationships and trust across internal stakeholders, including senior leaders, and to coach and influence leaders
  • Expertise in different social networks, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter)
  • Strong media relationships with both business and consumer media outlets and journalists, favourable
  • Manage sensitive issues to maintain company’s good reputation
  • Ability to balance vision and creative thinking with analytical rigor to meet the organisation's goals
  • Strong stakeholder engagement with ability to foster long-term relationships with key professionals
