As an Investment Manager at EIX Consulting (London), you will oversee the end‑to‑end investment lifecycle—from origination and initial screening through detailed due diligence and execution—focusing on UK opportunities for EIX headquarters. The ideal candidate will maintain strong relationships with leading investment banks to source high‑quality deal flow and will be able to independently evaluate new transactions. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our portfolio across Automotive, Fintech, Energy, Insurance, and Healthcare, directly contributing to the firm’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Sourcing and Origination
- Identify and source potential investment opportunities across relevant sectors, with primary focus on the UK market through systematic engagement with leading investment banks and advisors.
- Maintain and develop relationships with key investment banks, conducting regular meetings at their London offices to access deal flow.
- Conduct initial screening and review of potential transactions in the UK market for evaluation as investment targets for the headquarter (Abu Dhabi office).
Due Diligence and Analysis
- Conduct thorough due diligence, including financial analysis, market research, and risk assessment.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate potential investments.
- Prepare comprehensive investment proposals and present them to the Investment Committee.
Transaction Execution
- Lead the negotiation of transaction terms, including pricing, structure, and key legal documents.
- Coordinate with external advisors, legal teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction execution.
- Oversee the closing process, ensuring all conditions are met and documentation is completed accurately.
Portfolio Management
- Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance and support to enhance value creation.
- Conduct regular reviews of portfolio companies' financial performance and operational metrics.
- Work closely with portfolio company management teams to identify growth opportunities and address challenges.
Team Leadership and Development
- Mentor and guide junior team members, including analysts and associates, in their professional development.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Strategic Contribution
- Contribute to the overall investment strategy, providing insights based on market trends and sector analysis.
- Collaborate with senior management to refine investment theses and explore new market opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, portfolio company management, and industry experts.
External Representation
- Represent EIX Consulting at industry events and conferences to build the firm's network and reputation.
- Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
Requirements
Experience
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing the end‑to‑end investment process, from sourcing to exit.
- Strong existing relationships with leading investment banks in the UK market is highly desirable.
- Experience in sourcing and evaluating transactions.
Technical Skills
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to structure complex transactions.
- Superior communication skills in spoken and written English; proficiency in other languages preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with financial tools such as Bloomberg, Factset, and Capital IQ.
Professional Qualifications
- CFA charter holder strongly preferred.
