Interim Research Director — Remote (8 Months)
Job summary
A growing insights consultancy is seeking an Interim Research Director for an 8-month contract to enhance research effectiveness and operational excellence. In this remote role, you will lead a high-performing team, develop standardised research methods, and improve workflows. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of market research experience, is skilled in segmentation and brand tracking, and is passionate about making research more usable and scalable. Flexible work available, ideally 4 days a week.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in market research with mixed methods experience.
- Skilled in segmentation, brand tracking and operational design.
- Calm, confident, collaborative and not afraid to roll your sleeves up.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the development of standardised research methods and playbooks.
- Improve workflows from quant setup to delivery.
- Coach researchers across all levels and help embed best practice.
- Provide expert oversight on complex segmentations and tracking projects.
- Act as escalation support for senior leads without being in the day-to-day.
