Job Description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association in Greater Manchester, who are looking for a Solicitor to join the team on a permanent basis.
This will be a full-time position which can be conducted remotely, offering a salary of circa £55,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing disrepair cases, and they must be a qualified solicitor.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Handling a case load of routine, complex and potentially sensitive legal cases made up of contentious and non-contentious matters including advice on repairs obligations and other landlord & tenant related matters
Managing predominantly disrepair matters, but also covering tenancy enforcement, injunction and general housing management advice
Providing specialist and responsive legal and procedural advice to the organisation, colleagues and members
Providing legal representation for the organisation and act as professional legal advocate in courts and tribunals
Experience required:
Experience required in Social Housing
Experience managing extensive disrepair claims and cases
Experience and ability to handle large, complex and demanding legal caseloads with competing deadlines
