Job summary
A healthcare provider in Gloucester is looking for a Physiotherapy Assistant to manage a caseload, conduct assessments, and assist with administrative tasks. The role requires skills in writing patient notes and identifying referral needs. The ideal candidate will support the treatment processes while ensuring effective communication with both patients and Physiotherapists.

The Physiotherapy Assistant will hold their own caseload for which they are responsible for the treatment progression and implementation. They will be required to undertake some initial assessments that have been screened as appropriate by a Physiotherapist whilst ensuring they are working within their scope of practice and be able to identify when a patient needs to be referred back to a qualified Physiotherapist. They will be required to write patient notes on their electronic record in a timely and professional manner and will be responsible for signposting patients to other services and making ongoing referrals when needed.
They will also be required to support the Physiotherapists with administration, clerical and housekeeping duties.
