Job summary
A leading consultancy firm is seeking a Retail & E-Commerce Expert for a remote position, offering flexible hours between 15–40 hours/week. The role involves reviewing AI-generated strategies, providing actionable feedback on retail operations, and supporting benchmarking efforts in e-commerce. Ideal candidates should have strong experience in retail and possess a minimum Bachelor's degree in a related field. Urgent applications are encouraged.

- Proven track record in vendor negotiations and executing strategies.
- Ability to provide structured feedback on retail strategies.

Type: Hourly Contract | Location: Remote | Duration: 1–2 months | Commitment: 15–25 hours/week (flexible up to 40 hours/week)
Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided)
- Review and validate AI-generated category strategies, pricing tests, and promotional frameworks
- Provide structured feedback on merchandising, P&L ownership, vendor management, and inventory optimization
- Evaluate AI recommendations related to marketplace growth, affiliate marketing, and ROI measurement
- Stress-test AI outputs on supply chain logistics, SKU rationalization, and omni-channel execution scenarios
- Tag and organize content by retail function such as category management, merchandising, e-commerce operations, and supply chain
- Support benchmarking efforts to assess AI capabilities in retail and e-commerce
Requirements
- Strong professional experience in retail, category management, merchandising, supply chain, or e-commerce operations
- Proven track record owning P&L, leading vendor negotiations, and executing category/merchandising strategies
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field (Bachelor’s minimum; MBA preferred)
- Familiarity with retail tools and data sources like Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Mintel, Nielsen/IRI, or equivalents
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to deliver structured, actionable feedback on retail strategies and operations
- Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks are not supported)
