Job summary
An individual in need of personal assistance is looking for a Personal Assistant to provide support with daily activities including getting in and out of bed, personal care, and social outings. The role requires flexibility for various shifts during the week and a warm, outgoing personality to help boost confidence during community outings. Previous experience in personal care is preferred.
Qualifications
- Experience in personal care and mobility assistance.

- Flexibility to cover shifts as needed.
Responsibilities
- Support with getting in and out of bed.
- Assist with personal care, dressing and undressing.
- Help with toileting and changing catheter bags.
- Meal and drink preparation.
- Provide social outings and emotional support.
Skills
I am looking for a PA to support me with getting in and out of bed, personal care, dressing and undressing. Some support with toileting will be required. I have a catheter in place; I would require you to change from the night bag to a leg bag during the day, and in the evening to change the leg bag over to a night bag. I would like someone with flexibility to cover shifts when the other PA is unavailable. I would like my PA to support me to access the community using my mobility scooter, to do things like shopping and going to a local café for a light lunch or a drink. I am beginning to lose confidence going out so someone who is confident and outgoing would be great to help boost my confidence and make me feel more comfortable.
- Currently I have 1 PA who supports me 4 days a week for 6 hours a day and I am looking for a new PA to support me from 7am until 1pm on a Tuesday, and 7-10am on a Saturday and Sunday.
- I am also recruiting for a PA 7 days a week from 6:30pm - 7:30pm to assist me with getting into bed and getting comfortable and settled for the evening.
- Supporting me to get in and out of bed.
- Personal care, dressing and undressing.
- Support with toileting.
- Drink and meal prep.
- Social and emotional support.
- Take me out to do some social activities, such as shopping and going to cafes for lunch/drink.
