Logistics Coordinator - Construction / Manufacturing

Full-time | Office-based | Lound

A well-established UK construction manufacturing business is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join its logistics and transport function. This is a hands‑on, fully office‑based role supporting nationwide construction projects through effective transport planning and delivery coordination.

Reporting to the Head of Logistics, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling daily transport and delivery operations, ensuring products and materials are delivered safely, efficiently and on time to construction sites across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate daily transport requirements
  • Liaise with external hauliers, site teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Manage deliveries to live construction sites nationwide
  • Resolve transport issues including delays, access constraints and breakdowns
  • Coordinate abnormal and oversized loads, including route planning and permits
  • Maintain accurate transport records and Proof of Delivery documentation
  • Produce weekly transport performance reports
  • Monitor transport costs and support basic cost control activities
Experience Required
  • 2-5 years' experience in logistics coordination, transport planning or fleet management
  • Background within construction or manufacturing environments
  • Experience managing multiple daily deliveries
  • Strong understanding of construction site operations
