Job summary

An established engineering manufacturer in the UK is looking for an experienced Stores Person to manage stock and forklift operations. The role involves handling goods, loading/unloading vehicles, and pressure on health and safety. Candidates should have warehouse and forklift experience, particularly Counterbalance or Reach. Working hours are Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £13.00 per hour for a 40-hour week. This position is initially temp to perm, offering stability within a respected company.

Job description

An established engineering manufacturer has a new role for an experienced Stores Person to carry out Stores, Despatch and Forklift operation. Client offers a role within an established firm with career longevity. This is being recruited on a Temp to Perm basis, with a contract being issued to the right individual.

Responsibilities

• Goods in / Goods Out
• Vehicle Loading and unloading
• Stock Rotation
• Packing – Oversize pallets
• Forklift Operation – Multi Directional – Counterbalance / reach, training can be provided.
• Picking and allocation of stock and orders (internal – to production)

Manual handling and knowledge of health and safety at work along with production background would be advantageous. This is not a retail position, Stores is an internal Warehouse, applicants without relevant experience need not apply.

Working times: 08:00 – 17:15 Monday to Friday and 08:00 – 13:00 on Friday.
