Manpower are currently seeking an interim Clinicals Technician (Hot Room), to work with Manpower at our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast‑paced FMCG environment.

The position is based in Seacroft, Leeds. This is a part‑time temporary role to run for a period of 12 months, requiring 30 hours per week (8am – 4.15pm on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday). Compensation for this role is competitive, paying £12.60 per hour, depending upon experience.

Please note, due to the nature of the testing and the use of female panellists who will be partially clothed, you must be female.

• Conduct the key elements of Hot Room test protocols accurately, reproducibly and safely, including setting up tests, day‑to‑day running of panels, booking panellists, product applications, informed consent collection, sweat collection, sweat weighing, Case Report Form (CRF) completion, compliance monitoring and adverse event reporting.
• Treat panellists according to test protocols, all panellists being dealt with professionally, courteously and according to the Consumer Centre Code of Conduct and Clinicals SOPs. This involves application of products to panellist's underarms.
• Complete routine preparative work associated with various protocols, such as operating laundry associated with the test, labelling test products, using balances and maintaining storeroom housekeeping.
• Organise recruitment and complete screening of new subjects for the hot room panel.
• Organise and deliver the annual consenting and medical screening update for the established hot room panel.
• Become a first aid responder for the area (First Aid training will be provided).

• Must be female, due to the nature of the testing and the use of female panellists.
• GCSE English and Maths (Science desirable).
• Some research or clinical trial experience (advantageous but not necessary).
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
• Experience dealing with members of the public and excellent people skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• IT literacy, including full operational use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook); experience of analysis and data storage systems would be advantageous.
• Enthusiasm to learn new skills.
• Good time management.
• The ability to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary and multi‑cultural team.
• The ability to work under pressure (e.g., time constraints).
