Job summary
A renowned food service provider is seeking a Head Chef for their site at the University of Gloucestershire's Oxstalls Campus. Responsibilities include leading a small team, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring quality standards. Location: GL2 9HW
Salary: £30,942 per annum
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday - 40 hours per week, 7am to 3.30pm
- Lead and Manage a small team of 2
- On site we provide Grab and go, homemade cakes, hot mains, salad bar, soup, hospitality
- To prepare and oversee all preparation of food to the highest standard
- To produce food in a timely fashion to ensure smooth service to the customers
- To ensure that all appropriate ingredients are available for the menus
- To develop and plan menus that are in line with client and customer expectations
- To be creative when menu planning and including the client and customers
- Pride yourself on food quality and hygiene standard
- Overall responsibility for managing the kitchen team
- Provide feedback and coaching on performance
- To ensure that the kitchen team have completed up to date COSSH and Food Hygiene training
- Will have contract catering experience
- Passionate about cooking fresh food
