Job description

Butler Job in Oxfordshire

This beautiful home is part of a wider organisation which includes a private member club and hotel. The owner spends his time between Oxfordshire and London and you will be serving the principal and guests 80% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

  1. This role is part of the Butler team. There is a Head Butler and the successful candidate will be part of a team of 5 Butlers.

  2. The role will involve unpacking, packing, luggage handling, meeting and greeting guests, and providing drinks service. Additionally, assist in organizing activities for the guests and serving afternoon tea.

  3. To be introduced pre-arrival to assist in handling any requests the booking may have and to aid in itinerary building.

  4. Manage the organization and logistics behind providing services, including packing, unpacking, transport, private dining, dry cleaning, pressing, small events, and all onsite activations.

  5. Collaborate with the Housekeeping team to set up the house.

  6. Meet and greet guests upon arrival and act as a central point of contact throughout their stay.

  7. Provide a personal number to members/guests for direct communication with the Butler team.

  8. Assist members/guests with their departure schedule, ensuring this process is smooth and uncomplicated.

  9. Maintain strong product and brand knowledge across both properties and understand all technical details needed to ensure all the property’s systems work as expected, proactively identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.

  10. Approach difficult situations with an outstanding problem-solving attitude.

  11. Run errands offsite to provide a memorable experience by going above and beyond.

  12. Ensure key stakeholders, special guests, and VIPs receive personalized experiences, including recognizing any important celebrations for our members and collaborating with the GMs to activate these in their spaces.

  13. Address any issues that may arise immediately, logging them accurately and ensuring prompt follow-up.

  14. Maintain a clean and professional appearance for yourself and the team.

  15. Perform any other role as required.

  16. Hindi speaking preferred but not essential.

Perks of the role

£45,000 live-in; accommodation will be provided (single occupancy only).

Location is a 30-minute drive from Oxford.

40-hour contract. OT paid or TOIL.
