- Setting up, monitoring, and assessing on farm and strip trials
- Assisting with tractor and harvester operations when required
- Conducting crop phenotyping using handheld and drone‑based methods
- Carrying out greenhouse gas measurements and helping develop protocols
- Completing soil health assessments and coordinating sample testing
- Preparing trial data for analysis and supporting trial report collation
- Maintaining field and research equipment, ensuring SOPs are up to date
- Working closely with research, crop production, and field teams to deliver high quality assessments and data
This role involves regular travel and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- A strong understanding of UK agriculture
- Full UK driving licence
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team

- A degree in a relevant scientific discipline
