Job summary

A leading technical recruitment agency is looking for experienced Compex Electricians for a contract at an LNG facility on the Isle of Grain. This immediate-start position offers a 10 days on/4 days off rotation with 10-hour shifts, and competitive hourly rates of £48 for weekdays and £56 for weekends. Candidates must hold a Gold Card and CompEx certification, alongside proven experience working in hazardous environments. The assignment is expected to last for 3 months.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow strict safety protocols on site.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, testing, and inspection on an LNG terminal.
• Work safely in hazardous areas according to Compex / ATEX standards.
• Perform maintenance and fault-finding on electrical systems.

Overview

We are recruiting experienced Compex-qualified Electricians for an LNG facility on the Isle of Grain. This is an immediate-start contract working on a major energy site, carrying out inspection, testing, installation and maintenance duties in hazardous areas.

Key Requirements

• Gold Card Electrician
• CompEx Certification (Ex01–Ex04 minimum)
• 2391 Inspection & Testing (or 2394 / 2395 equivalent)
• Proven experience working in hazardous / ATEX environments (LNG, petrochemical, gas, or similar)
• Ability to work safely under strict site permit and safety procedures

Role Responsibilities

• Electrical installation, testing and inspection on an LNG terminal
• Working in hazardous areas to Compex / ATEX standards
• Maintenance and fault-finding on electrical systems and equipment
• Adhering to all site safety protocols and reporting procedures
• Working as part of a team on a long-term project through to March
