Job summary
A leading engineering company in Maidstone is seeking a skilled mechanical technician to carry out on-site installation, servicing, and refurbishment of equipment related to valves, penstocks, and actuators. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical and mechanical engineering, preferably within the water/wastewater sector. Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installation, service, and refurbishment of equipment.
- Commuting to the office in Maidstone as required.
- Occasional travel and overnight stays across the UK.
Skills
A vacancy has arisen for a mechanical technician to perform the on-site installation, service and refurbishment of all equipment associated with our core business of penstocks, valves, and actuators, as well as other products and services as required by the company. This role covers the south with frequent commuting to our office in Maidstone.
- Experience in electrical and mechanical engineering, preferably in the water/wastewater industry.
- Ability to understand and work to engineering drawings.
- IT literate.
- Physically fit.
- Experienced in confined space working.
- Willingness to occasionally travel across the UK and have overnight stays, in line with the needs of the company, its workload and customers.
- Full driving licence.
