Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile consumables (dressings, linen, instruments, and equipment).
- Check, wash, lay up and pack sets of theatre instruments.
- Operate and monitor machines (washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic and sterilisers).
- Record and log repairs and missing instruments.

We are currently recruiting for a Sterile Services Technician vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join the business at an entry-level and receive world-class training to get you on to a defined career pathway.
About You

This role will initially be temporary for 3 month
Working days: Monday to Friday
Wokring hours: between 08:00-20:00
- Ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables (dressings, linen, instruments, and equipment) by the process of decontamination, inspection assembly and packing within predefined quality standards.
- Rigorously checking, washing, laying up and packing sets of theatre instruments to meet contract specifications within predefined quality standards.
- Safely operating and monitoring machines and equipment (washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic and sterilisers) effectively.
- Ensuring that repairs and missing instruments or equipment are recorded and logged on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak).
- Ensuring that repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock or the appropriate coded sets or the Trust’s appointed person.
- Educated to a good general standard with demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities.
- Basic end user IT skills to operate track and traceability IT system.
- TVQ or NVQ Level 2 in Decontamination or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in Sterile Services and/or health related products.
