Job summary
A financial services provider in Slough is seeking an experienced accounts assistant for a temporary role. Responsibilities include daily account reconciliations, monthly accounts preparation, and vendor communication. The ideal candidate has prior experience in month-end accounting and a proactive approach to process improvements. The position offers between £15.00 and £20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Qualifications
- Experience in month end accounting.
- Ability to manage communication with vendors regarding payment queries.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of daily account reconciliations for bank and cards.
- Regular reconciliation of AP and AR ledgers.
- Preparation of month end accounts close.

Orka Financial is currently partnering with an exciting business based in Slough who are looking for an experienced accounts assistant to join their team on a temporary basis.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of daily account reconciliations for bank and cards including resolving of discrepancies
- Regular reconciliation of AP and AR ledgers, and balance sheet accounts
- Preparation of month end accounts close including processing month end journals
- Following up with customers for overdue payments
Requirements
- Communicating with vendors regarding payment queries
- Able to demonstrate prior experience of involvement in month end accounting
- Attention to detail and good time management skills
- A proactive attitude and able to look for improvements to processes.
This role is looking for an ASAP start and is paying between £15.00 and £20.00 per hour depending on experience, please apply online for consideration.
