A leading children's hospice organization in London seeks an experienced Band 6 Nurse to join their community team. Responsibilities include providing holistic care to children with life-limiting conditions, leading care efforts, and working collaboratively with families. Candidates should possess a relevant nursing registration, excellent communication skills, and a full driving license. The role offers both full-time and part-time options, reflecting a commitment to diverse working patterns. Salary ranges from £46,380 to £55,001 annually.
We are currently expanding the community team at SEL, and have an opportunity for an experienced B6 nurse to join the team.
You will need to be a car driver and have access to your own vehicle. We are looking for a nurse who has extensive paediatric palliative care nursing experience, is flexible and demonstrates excellent communication skills and a strong professional approach. You will need to be a good team player, whilst also being able to work autonomously and manage your own caseload. The role can be very varied, and will involve teaching, problem solving and care delivery.

To provide holistic nursing care and support to children and young people with life limiting/life threatening conditions and their families/carers, utilising the skills, knowledge and expertise of the qualified practitioner in a variety of situations, working on their own initiative and accessing and contributing to the skill base of the wider team. Working in collaboration with other services to best meet the needs of the child/young person and their family. To take the lead as the Nurse in Charge and participate in the on‑call rota. Deputise in the absence of the Team Leader or Lead Nurse. To safeguard all children and young people accessing services; by responding to concerns raised in a timely and appropriate manner and effectively escalating, acting and referring these in accordance with policies and procedures.
