Job description

About Us

Vinarchy. Redefining Wine.

Established in 2025 following the merger of Accolade Wines and Pernod Ricard Winemakers, Vinarchy is an exceptional global wine company committed to redefining wine.

Crafting extraordinary wines in Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Italy, South Africa, Chile and the United States, and sharing them in almost every corner of the world, we are relentlessly innovative, ambitious and imaginative at every stage from grape to glass.

About the role

We are recruiting for a full time Demand Controller to fulfil a 4-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. This role is pivotal in connecting our Commercial and Operational teams, driving a customer-first approach and making a tangible impact on our business.

As a Demand Controller, you will act as the crucial link between the UK & EMEA Commercial businesses and Encirc's Production Schedulers, Supply Planning, and Inventory teams. Your key responsibilities will include managing and taking ownership of all Commercial and Demand-driven production plan changes, ensuring alignment with both financial and strategic goals.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the accuracy of the near-term (3-month) demand plan, working collaboratively with the Demand Planning Team and Customer Relationship/Service Team. You’ll also work closely with the Supply Planning Team to identify and communicate significant volume demands that exceed forecasts and fall within lead times.

Another critical aspect of the role will involve ensuring visibility of constrained products against the latest demand requirements. You'll actively seek cost-effective solutions to resolve constraints or coordinate customer allocations to minimize overall business impact.

This is a 4-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, with an ideal start date in November.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Attending the weekly Exception Report review, both identifying issues and potential solutions to maximise overall customer service levels and best business outcome
  • Communicating short and mid-term identified issues & availability constraints, working collaboratively with Commercial Sales leads to agree allocation strategies when required.
  • Working collaboratively with Demand Planning Team to provide swift conclusive decision making to customer opportunities and significant promotional uplifts, ensuring existing commitments aren’t compromised and cost/business impact is minimized.
  • Working collaboratively with Marketing Operation & Demand Planning teams to manage NPD and product change in order to maximise customer availability relevant whilst minimising costs & exposure to the business.
  • Working with Marketing Operations and Commercial Sales leads to manage product exit strategies in order to minimise sku complexity, any obsolescence/SMI exposure and overall working capital implications.
  • Managing the Made To Order BIB process to ensure stock availability in line with customer requirements, whilst balancing stock holding to ensure no risk to shelf life or availability.
  • Responsibility for optimising the UK & EMEASA regions demand fluctuations within supply lead times in order to maximise product availability whilst minimising cost impact to the business.
  • Responsible for daily fulfillment tasks, ensuring smooth order flow through to the warehouse, and working with the Customer service and Credit Control teams to facilitate.
  • Analysing and providing solution recommendations within the 0-12 week supply horizon that minimise service disruption to our customers.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Working knowledge of overall Supply Chain, Operations & Customer service
  • Microsoft office knowledge, Excel, Word & Power Point
  • Wine knowledge ideally WSET level 2
  • FMCG business experience
Behaviours:
  • Process Excellence
  • Problem Solving
  • Time Management
  • Communication verbal and written
  • Decision Making
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Attitude
  • Team orientated
  • Managing Change
  • Influencing, Negotiation & Persuasiveness
