Premium Shift

If you work overnights, between the hours of midnight and 5am, you’ll earn extra pay.

Every team member, including our hourly‑paid workers, earn above the national minimum wage. We also offer a range of benefits including holiday and sick pay, and employee discounts that offer savings at over 1,600 retailers.

How often do I get paid?

This can vary depending on whether you work in a franchised or company owned restaurant. Typically, it can be every 2 or 4 weeks for hourly paid employees, and monthly for employees on a dedicated salary.

What type of shifts will I be doing and how many?

Our restaurant hours range from location to location, but over half of our restaurants are open 24 hours a day. We schedule most shifts to suit you, but also take working time legislation and our business needs into account.

What should I wear to work?

Just one of the benefits of working at McDonald’s is that you don’t have to worry about what to wear to work, we will supply you with a uniform.

Does McDonald’s promote its employees?
