Become part of making the impossible possible.
About the role:

As part of the Malvern Panalytical Services team, you will play a key role in driving growth in after-sales revenue by selling the full portfolio of service products to existing customers. Your focus will be on strengthening long-term customer relationships, increasing retention, and maximizing the value customers gain from their Malvern Panalytical solutions throughout the equipment lifecycle.

This is a proactive, customer-facing role where you will identify and develop aftermarket opportunities within your regional customer base. By combining strong communication skills, deep product and service knowledge, and effective sales strategies, you will anticipate customer needs, propose tailored service solutions, and convert opportunities into sustainable revenue growth.

You will be accountable for forecasting, managing, and achieving annual Order and Sales targets, contributing directly to the overall growth and success of Malvern Panalytical’s service business.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Drive after-sales orders and revenue across the UK and South Africa by engaging customers through multiple channels (phone, email, digital platforms), consistently meeting or exceeding regional service sales targets
  • Own the sale of service solutions, including new service agreements, digital services, upgrades, software, and bundled offerings that maximize customer value throughout the product lifecycle
  • Partner closely with local service teams to support contract renewals and secure new service agreements as customers transition out of warranty
  • Build strong customer relationships by understanding customer goals, challenges, and future needs, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling tailored service solutions
  • Manage the full after-sales sales cycle, from qualifying inbound leads and responding to inquiries through quote preparation, objection handling, deal closure, and seamless handoff to internal teams
  • Maintain a healthy, transparent sales pipeline, ensuring accurate CRM records, forecasts, orders, and KPIs while delivering regular reporting and reliable revenue predictions
  • Collaborate across Malvern Panalytical, working with Customer Support, Technical Helpdesk, Digital, Marketing, Supply Centres, and Product Management to deliver exceptional customer experience, support marketing initiatives, and continuously improve our service offerings
About you:
  • Flexible working mindset, comfortable in a remote or hybrid environment with occasional travel to offices or customer sites to build strong relationships
  • Strong foundation through education and experience, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; exposure to analytical instrumentation or service-led organizations is a plus
  • Results-driven and proactive approach, energized by achieving targets and continuously finding smarter, more effective ways to grow service revenue.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to listen, collaborate, and clearly articulate value to customers from diverse industries and backgrounds
  • Confident sales capability, including negotiation, closing, and pipeline management, supported by experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce (or the willingness to learn)
  • Digitally curious and data-informed, comfortable using AI, digital tools, and insights to drive lead generation, forecasting, and customer-focused decision-making
  • Customer-first and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced environments while applying a “test and learn” mindset to evolving customer needs and market conditions
  • Collaborative and commercially aware, able to work effectively across teams, contribute to marketing initiatives and customer journeys, and build strong business cases through analytical thinking
What’s in It for You
  • Be a part of an ambitious, fast-growing, international company with a friendly and inclusive culture
  • Drive growth within a leading global organisation whose purpose is to work with our customers, to make the world a better place
  • Be a key member of our team in our amazing offices, with a hybrid working model available
  • Access to an onsite restaurant
  • Gym discounts
  • Volunteering days and much more
