Job summary
A leading contract catering company is seeking a Kitchen Porter in London to assist in meal preparation, maintain cleanliness and provide excellent customer service. This role offers £13.15 per hour for 25 hours a week during term time. Ideal candidates will have experience in education catering and outstanding organization skills. Location: Streatham Hill
Salary: £13.15 per hour + overtime available
Hours: 25 hours per week from 11:00 to 16:15 – Term time only
- Assist in washing up & putting away deliveries within the site
- Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes
- Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils
- Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination
- Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies
- Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs
- Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards
- Ideally have experience working within Education catering
- Have good Health & Safety knowledge
