A leading second-hand marketplace in London is seeking a Data Scientist to enhance their AI Listing platform. This role involves improving listing experiences using machine learning algorithms. Ideal candidates will hold a degree in a relevant field and have experience in deploying machine learning models, especially in computer vision. Vinted offers a hybrid working model with various employee benefits, including professional development support.
Our mission is to make second-hand the first choice, and we're looking for people who want to help us get there. Every day, we work together to help our members buy and sell pre-loved clothing and lifestyle items, giving each piece a second life – or even a third.
The Vinted Group is made up of three business units that support this mission:
Founded in 2008 in Lithuania, Vinted began as a way for friends to find new homes for clothes they no longer needed. In 2019, we became Lithuania's first unicorn! Today, our headquarters remain in Vilnius, and we've grown with offices across Europe, supported by a team of over 2,000 people. Our backers include Accel, EQT Growth, Insight Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Sprints, and TPG.
We are currently looking for a Data Scientist to join our AI Listing platform team within the Supply domain. The AI Listing platform team is responsible for improving the listing experience and enriching listing metadata with the help of machine learning and AI. As a data scientist, you will be responsible for contributing to building and scaling a service that leverages internal and external large language/convolutional ML models to better understand our content. You will be responsible for training, fine‑tuning and maintaining new and existing models, discovering ways to make performance and accuracy improvements and creating new features based on ML. You will be working alongside other data scientists and backend engineers, responsible for the integration of the models. This is a high‑impact role where your work will directly contribute to the success of our AI‑powered features and help shape the future of listing experiences on our platform.
At Vinted, we have three distinct roles within DSA. We believe each role can make a similar business impact in different ways, and therefore our salary ranges are the same for all three roles. To understand your role within DSA context better, here are brief descriptions of each role we have in the department:
Individual Learning Budget
We invest in your professional growth! As part of our commitment to continuous learning, we offer an annual learning budget to support your personal and career development through courses, certifications, workshops and more.
We’ve adopted a hybrid workplace model where 2 days in the office are recommended but not enforced. It’s up to you and your team to decide on the exact days you’ll spend working together in person.
The Vinted Group is committed to building an inclusive workplace where people from all walks of life feel a sense of belonging. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and life experiences. At Vinted, all applicants are treated fairly without regard to their race, age, religion or belief, sex, national origin, citizenship, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
The salary range for this position is € 57,500 - € 77,900 gross per year.
* The salary benchmark is based on the target salaries of market leaders in their relevant sectors. It is intended to serve as a guide to help Premium Members assess open positions and to help in salary negotiations. The salary benchmark is not provided directly by the company, which could be significantly higher or lower.
