A recruitment agency is seeking a General Operative for a permanent position in Grantham. The successful candidate will utilize a counterbalance forklift for loading duties and maintain site cleanliness. The role includes varied tasks like tidying the warehouse and involves a good opportunity for training and career progression. Benefits include 20 days paid leave, pension, and free parking. Working hours are Mon-Thu 7:30 am – 4:30 pm and Fri 7:30 am – 1 pm.

- Experience in warehouse or production environment preferred.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and tidiness in a workspace.
Responsabilités
- Load and unload lorries using a counterbalance forklift.
- Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse by clearing debris and sweeping.
- Assist in loading racking bays and moving items.
Connaissances
Permanent – £24,761pa – Grantham
We require a General Operative with a Counterbalance forklift licence to join our exclusive client in Grantham to start Monday 5th January 2026.
You will be using the forklift counterbalance casually through the day (≈40%) while maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the site, tidying and cleaning the warehouse/factory (≈60%).
During the month of January you will also benefit from learning and training for the role from the current on‑site supervisor.
- Loading and unloading lorries using a counterbalance forklift
- Loading the racking bays, moving items from the yard to warehouse/production areas
- Tidying around the warehouse: sweeping, filling and emptying bins and skips
- Picking up rubbish/debris, breaking up cardboard/pallets
Days – Monday to Thursday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm and Friday 7:30 am – 1 pm
- Paid annual leave of 20 days + bank holidays
- On a bus route, PPE and uniform provided
- Free onsite parking
