Job summary
A leading engineering consultancy in Thatcham is seeking a Civil Infrastructure Engineer to contribute to diverse infrastructure projects. In this role, you will design highways and drainage systems, produce detailed layouts, and liaise with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of UK experience, a degree in Civil Engineering, and progress towards Chartered Engineer status. You will be joining a well‑established civil engineering team delivering highways, drainage and infrastructure projects across a wide range of sectors. This Civil Infrastructure Engineer role offers exposure to varied schemes, modern design tools and a flexible working structure that supports both productivity and work‑life balance.
As a Civil Infrastructure Engineer, you will support the design and delivery of infrastructure projects from concept through to construction.
- Designing highways, drainage and general civil infrastructure schemes

- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers within the team

This role suits a motivated Civil Infrastructure Engineer looking to develop.
You will ideally have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- At least 3 years' UK experience in infrastructure, drainage or highways design
- Progress toward Chartered Engineer status with ICE or similar
- Strong technical ability with relevant design software
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
