Job summary
A leading food company in Greater London seeks a qualified accountant to manage a high volume of transactions and support month-end reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong management accounts experience, resilience under deadlines, and attention to detail. This role includes preparing reconciliations and ensuring compliance with internal controls while fostering productive relationships with stakeholders. Attractive compensation including a salary of £40,000 – £50,000 and diverse growth opportunities is offered.

Responsibilities
- Responsibility for accurate processing of key classes of transactions.
- Managing a high volume of transactions ensuring high levels of accuracy.
- Supporting month-end reporting including analysis of monthly P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Preparing month-end reconciliations and investigations to ensure accuracy.
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and best practice.
- Proactively highlighting and escalating any issues or challenges.
- Building productive working relationships with stakeholders.
Skills
Education
- Responsibility for accurate processing of key classes of transactions
- Managing a high volume of transactions across a multi‑entity, multi‑currency Group structure ensuring high levels of accuracy with a culture of no surprises.
- Supporting month‑end reporting, including analysis of monthly P&L and Balance Sheet
- Preparing month‑end reconciliations, reviews and investigations to ensure reporting is reliable and accurate
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and best practice
- Proactively highlighting and escalating any issues or challenges
- Building and maintaining productive working relationships with stakeholders across the business
- Part‑qualified or qualified accountant preferred
- Experience in management accounts essential
- Resilient and able to work to tight deadlines

- Initial relaxed 30‑minute conversation with the recruitment team to discuss experience.
- One-hour in‑person interview with the hiring manager at our Head Office in London Victoria.
- Optional additional stages depending on role and function (shop visit, task, senior leader meeting).
- Interviews for this role will take place in the new year.
- £40,000 – £50,000 base salary with up to 10% bonus potential
