Job summary

A leading food company in Greater London seeks a qualified accountant to manage a high volume of transactions and support month-end reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong management accounts experience, resilience under deadlines, and attention to detail. This role includes preparing reconciliations and ensuring compliance with internal controls while fostering productive relationships with stakeholders. Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for accurate processing of key classes of transactions
  • Managing a high volume of transactions across a multi‑entity, multi‑currency Group structure ensuring high levels of accuracy with a culture of no surprises.
  • Supporting month‑end reporting, including analysis of monthly P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Preparing month‑end reconciliations, reviews and investigations to ensure reporting is reliable and accurate
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and best practice
  • Proactively highlighting and escalating any issues or challenges
  • Building and maintaining productive working relationships with stakeholders across the business
Qualifications
  • Part‑qualified or qualified accountant preferred
  • Experience in management accounts essential

Interview Process
  • Initial relaxed 30‑minute conversation with the recruitment team to discuss experience.
  • One-hour in‑person interview with the hiring manager at our Head Office in London Victoria.
  • Optional additional stages depending on role and function (shop visit, task, senior leader meeting).
  • Interviews for this role will take place in the new year.
Compensation & Benefits
  • £40,000 – £50,000 base salary with up to 10% bonus potential
  • Gold Card – free food and drinks at the office and up to 5 barista‑made drinks a day when you’re not in the office; 50% off other food and purchases.
