The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in joinery and woodworking machinery. Responsibilities include manufacturing and assembling furniture, supervising a workshop team, and ensuring excellent craftsmanship. A well‑established manufacturing company specialising in high‑end bespoke furniture. Due to continued growth and the expansion of existing contracts, the company is recruiting skilled Bench Hand Joiners to join its team of craftsmen in Leicester.
You’ll manufacture, assemble, and finish high‑quality wooden furniture using a range of tools and machinery. You’ll work from detailed technical drawings, ensuring accuracy, precision, and an excellent standard of finish.
- Manufacture, assemble, and finish bespoke wooden products
- Work accurately from technical drawings
- Quality‑check and finish your own work
- Operate woodworking tools and machinery safely
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Supervise and coordinate a workshop team
- Experienced in high‑end bench joinery, laminating, or cabinet making
- Skilled in using hand tools and woodworking machinery such as routers, edge banders, planers, and table saws
- Apprentice‑trained or equivalent experience preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Previous experience in a supervisory role
