JOB: CAD Technician

LOCATION: Colchester

TERM: Permanent

SALARY: GBP 30,000 to GBP 40,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is currently recruiting for a CAD Technician to join an established engineering company based in Colchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic design team working on a range of technical drawings and layouts.

The CAD Technician Will Ideally Have The Following Attributes:

• Background in Engineering, Design, or Construction
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D essential, 3D desirable)
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Experience working within a design office or technical environment

The CAD Technician Role Will Involve:

• Producing and updating 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD
• Supporting the design and engineering team with layout drawings and documentation
• Ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and industry standards
• Liaising with engineers, project managers, and other departments
• Maintaining drawing registers and version control
