At VSL, our Methods Engineers and Temporary Works Managers are the bridge between design and construction, turning complex concepts into safe, efficient, and buildable realities.

We’re expanding our Methods teams across the globe and are inviting expressions of interest from experienced engineers and managers who thrive on technical challenges and innovative solutions.

You’ll work hand-in-hand with our project and production teams to:

• Develop safe, practical, and economic construction methods and temporary works solutions.
• Plan and sequence works, determine plant requirements, and optimise build efficiency.
• Produce and review method statements, lifting studies, and temporary works designs.
• Lead constructability reviews and support designers in refining permanent works.
• Coordinate with site, design, and subcontractor teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Deliver hands‑on CAD outputs (AutoCAD essential) and manage technical documentation.

Depending on your level, you may lead a team of Methods Engineers and Technicians or work as a specialist within a larger project structure.

You might currently be a:

• Methods Engineer or Temporary Works Manager
• Technical Office or Construction Methods Manager
• Design & Methods Engineer or Technical Coordinator

And you’ll likely bring:

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience in construction methods, temporary works, or structural design.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel.
• Practical CAD capability (AutoCAD essential; 3D tools like Revit, Tekla, or Navisworks a plus).
• A collaborative, solution‑driven mindset with solid communication skills.
