A leading housing developer in the West Midlands is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to oversee construction sites in Coventry. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of new build housing processes and relevant qualifications like SMSTS and CSCS. Responsibilities include coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 plus benefits is offered.

- Assist the Site Manager in overseeing the construction site and ensuring that work is carried out in compliance with building regulations and health and safety standards
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations on site
- Monitor and report on progress to the Site Manager, identifying any issues or delays and proposing solutions
- Assist in managing the construction schedule, budget, and quality control
- Ensure all site personnel adhere to safety guidelines and regulations
- Assist in resolving any conflicts or disputes that may arise on the construction site
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- First Aid Certification
- Valid Driving Licence
- Strong knowledge of new build housing construction processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and quality
The role will involve working on construction sites in varying weather conditions and may require occasional travel between different sites in the Coventry area.
