A leading global life science tools company in Guildford is seeking a Building Services Manager to oversee facility operations, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. The Building Services Manager is tasked with maintaining smooth operations of the building while ensuring a safe and functional work environment for office and lab areas. They will be the main contact for building‑related matters and planned maintenance activities. This will be accomplished by coordinating external contractors effectively in collaboration with the landlord, Site Operations, and other teams located at Guildford.
Responsibilities involve managing compliance within the LGC property with respect to industry workplace regulations such as fire, water, electrical, medical gases, environmental, and others. The role also includes active oversight of building maintenance contracts, including the site‑based maintenance team, ensuring all contracts are established and deliver good value.
