Family - Public Law Solicitor - Taunton

Our client is seeking an ambitious and passionate Public Childcare Lawyer to join the Taunton office of this thriving and award-winning practice who boast a number of offices across Devon and Somerset.

This is a wonderful opportunity to be an integral member of a thriving practice. The public law team specialise in all aspects of public law proceedings including care proceedings and adoption to represent children, parents, extended family members and local authorities at all stages from initial instruction to final hearing. Your caseload will also include private law children matters.

The successful candidate must possess a passion for family law and demonstrate proven experience of independently managing a childcare caseload and particularly, public law cases. Knowledge of the Legal Aid system and strong advocacy experience is essential for this role. Children Panel accredited or working towards accreditation is desirable.

Excellent IT skills and communication skills (plus the ability to be versatile and empathic), are also essential.
