Hours of Work: 37 hours per week working between 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday.

Location

Home based with travel around the North Lincolnshire area.

(Applicants should live in the North Lincolnshire area; have a full driver’s licence and access to their own transport.)

Please note: You will be expected to take a flexible approach and potentially could be expected to commute outside of your specified borough. This commute would be covered within our mileage rate within our policy.

Salary

Starting salary £(phone number removed) per Annum.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide high quality instructed and non-instructed advocacy according to the needs of the client and relevant to the service being provided
  • Act on behalf of clients at all times, including following their instructions, taking action as directed by them or representing their wishes, feelings, beliefs and values in a way that is consistent with the law, guidance and best practice
  • Evidence effective, outcome focused case management, ensuring all casework demonstrates processes of planning, action and review with relevant recording
  • Provide high quality written reports as part of statutory advocacy roles
  • Escalate concerns or complaints professionally to relevant public bodies as instructed by clients or otherwise where appropriate
Independent Advocate Requirements
  • Strong communication and time management skills to successfully work remotely.
  • Excellent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to learn software packages such as client management databases.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate recording of records and reporting to meet tight deadlines.
Desirable
  • Previous experience in advocacy, information and advice, or a similar role within health, social care, or the voluntary sector.
  • Demonstrable experience working with vulnerable adults.
  • Working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations.
