Duty Solicitor, 1+ PQE, Birmingham, £35K-£40K (DOE).

Our client is looking for a motivated, skilled advocate with a passion for criminal defence and publicly funded work to help deliver exceptional representation to those who need it most. THE ROLE:
  • Duty Solicitor position based in Birmingham.
  • Attend police stations to represent clients.
  • Provide legal advice and representation to detained individuals.
  • Manage and progress your own caseload of criminal defence matters.
  • Conduct advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court.
  • Undertake Crown Court advocacy where appropriate.
  • Prepare cases for trial, appeal and related proceedings.
  • Maintain high quality client care and case management throughout.
THE CANDIDATE:
  • Qualified Solicitor with 1+ years’ PQE in handling criminal matters.
  • Crime duty accreditation preferred.
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
  • Strong IT proficiency.
  • Ability to manage a demanding caseload with minimal supervision.
