Job summary

A multinational personal care company in the United Kingdom is seeking a professional to oversee advocacy activities in the EMEA region. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of legislative processes, experience in designing advocacy campaigns, and the ability to build strong relationships with government stakeholders. Main responsibilities
  • Oversee all advocacy activities in support of EMEA region
  • Align advocacy operations to deliver (i) policy victories and (ii) enhance our reputation at the national and community levels by partnering with stakeholders on key public policy initiatives
  • Create campaigns that leverage political allies, third party partners, and the media to capitalize on new opportunities for the EMEA business
  • Properly evaluate and build strong relationships with stakeholders in the legislative and executive branches of government, including key regulatory agencies
  • Engage in direct lobbying at the federal and state level with a focus on consumer product legislative and regulatory matters
  • Establish and lead a unified EMEA advocacy program, which includes comprehensive community relations initiatives.
Key skills and experience
  • Expert knowledge of the legislative and regulatory processes, particularly in the EU and UK and across wider EMEA
  • Experience in designing, managing, and executing multi‑disciplinary advocacy campaigns
  • Experience working with broad community of stakeholders, including non‑profit organisations, trade associations, external consultants and government officials
  • Experience working both independently and in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment; and cultural sensitivity
  • Demonstrated prior experience building strategic advocacy campaigns at the federal and state government levels.
