Job description
Youth Worker - 13 Hours - Salary: £12.88 per hour (salary will increase in April)

Our charity delivers youth work to hundreds of young people in Cleator Moor and Frizington. You will work out of Frizington Youth Centre on evenings with our lead and senior youth workers. You will help plan and deliver youth work sessions that are fun, developmental and discuss the issues that affect young people’s lives. You will build relationships and be a role model to our young people. During school holidays you will take part in trips, residentials and other fun activities with young people.

When

The role will involve one daytime office shift in our Cleator Moor office, three evening youth work sessions each week in Frizington and very occasional weekends to meet the needs of local young people and our local communities.

The extras

We don't expect you to have youth work qualifications or to have worked with young people before. We are interested in your inter‑personal skills. This post is a regulated activity and subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure in the event of being offered this position, costs of which will be paid for by the charity.
