Overview

We are looking for a caring, proactive and motivated Youth Support Worker to join our school team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people by supporting their wellbeing, personal growth, and success in school.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with pupils to provide support for their social, emotional and mental wellbeing.
  • Build positive, trusted relationships with children and young people.
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group sessions to encourage resilience, confidence and positive behaviour.
  • Support staff in creating a nurturing, inclusive school environment.
  • Be a key point of contact for pupils who may need extra encouragement and guidance.
Qualifications and experience
  • Experience in youth work, child counselling, or working with children in educational or community settings.
  • Backgrounds in sports coaching or child psychology, using these skills to inspire and motivate young people.
  • Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
