Job summary

A leading renewable energy company in Swindon is offering a Year in Industry placement in Operations & Maintenance Design and Implementation starting summer 2026. This hybrid position requires students from engineering disciplines to assist in developing concepts for future windfarms. Candidates will gain hands-on experience and be part of a diverse team aiming for significant growth in offshore wind energy.

Start date in summer 2026, full time, fixed term for 12 months. Hybrid model meaning 3 days per week onsite in Swindon, rest can be home based

About the role

• Gain valuable knowledge and experience of
  • how we develop the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) concepts for our future windfarms - covering strategic, technical, environmental, societal, and commercial factors
  • how emerging technologies and methodologies in O&M are evaluated for potential opportunities in future windfarms
  • our operations sites by visiting them and going offshore after basic training, giving you a first-hand view of the outcome of the team’s work and a useful insight in the day to day of O&M in offshore wind
• Assist the team e.g. with leading your own project related to a specific O&M concept on a developing wind farm or an emerging technology

Job requirements and experience

• You’re an enrolled student in one of the following degree courses: Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, alternatively another relevant science or engineering discipline
• Your degree course is eligible for a year in industry placement
• You have very good verbal and written communication skills
• You´re able to coordinate your own workload and to meet tight deadlines
• Working in a diverse team environment and dealing with a range of stakeholders every day is something you feel comfortable with
• You´re open to travel to other sites if needed and travel expenses will be covered by us
